Portrait Ⓒ Raphael Cogan, Jerusalem, Israel, 2002
Hi, I'm Yehudit! I love photographing cats, repetitive shapes, and bits of architecture.
I was fortunate to study photography in university, and then to work in a photo store, then as a photo assistant, and then as a photographer for a historical guided tour. Living in Israel for the past 20+ years, I've been able to photograph completely new subjects, all over the country: deserts, urban areas, seas, linguistic iconography, cats . . . lots and lots of cats.
That's how I got to this space: I have so many pictures of cats, and such a desire to help our cats, that it seemed like a natural progression. That's why, every time that you buy something from the hOly cats! collection at the.zOhn, I donate 10% of the profits to the Association!
BONUS: If you buy something from the Cat Shield of Jerusalem line, I donate 20% of the profits!
If you would like to help Jerusalem's kitties directly, see the information at About/Association for Jerusalem Street Cats.
